Meet the FoundersMichelle & Kat Tomsich
We're Michelle and Kat Tomsich, a mother-daughter duo who wanted to create the kind of place we wished existed in our own community.
Books have always been part of our lives.
So have the conversations, friendships, and connections that happen because of them.
After discovering book cafés in other cities, we kept coming back to one thought:
Chagrin Falls needs this.
Not simply another place to buy a book, but somewhere you could spend an afternoon.
Somewhere you could grab coffee with a friend, discover a new author, work for a few hours, join a club, bring your kids to storytime, enjoy a glass of wine, attend an event, or find a quiet corner and read.
That idea became Sage & Honey.
From an Idea to Our First Chapter
Reading may happen quietly, but being a reader is anything but solitary.
We recommend books to our friends. We send each other quotes. We debate endings. We wait impatiently for the next book in a series. We join book clubs, follow authors, collect special editions, and talk about fictional characters like we know them personally.
We wanted to bring that community out of our phones and into a real place.
Sage & Honey combines an independent bookstore, café, gifts, events, clubs, workspaces, and gathering spaces under one roof in downtown Chagrin Falls.
It's a place built around connection.
